A very significant political development was taken place in Australia. It was a time of great change.  In 1924, the Australian Government introduced compulsory voting. For a democracy to function well, every citizen got an equal right to vote on the leadership of the country and had the opportunity for that vote was always counted. Compulsory  voting brought about great social debate about the nature of democracy and freedom in politics, both in 1920s and 1930s as well as today. It took several step to compulsory voting but all was paid off by its great results. Australia came across advantages of compulsory voting.
